Black Out Poetry Workshop
Transforming Text: Black Out Poetry Workshop
Wednesday, March 5 @ 6pm EST
Location: Cantab Lounge, Cambridge, MA
We will create poems from existing texts by erasing or "blacking out" words and phrases to uncover a new message, and make visual art to accompany our poems. The workshop will conclude with a share-out and closing discussion. All skill levels are welcome. Facilitated by Brenda Echeverry (she/her), an artist and therapist based in Dorchester, MA.

FICC will be hosting Creating Resilience: Art Therapy Workshop Series for Mental Health in a Changing Climate in 2025 in partnership with Art + Soul Clinic's Brenda Echeverry, a Dochester-based expressive arts therapist and teaching artist! This 5-part series is designed to support our mental health in the face of a changing climate. Explore guided hands-on activities like collaging, black-out poetry, and other forms of creative expression to cultivate emotional strength, mindfulness, and community connection. Join us to nurture your well-being, build resilience, and create a brighter future together!
